Placemat Process Placemat Process
Do you feel like you have way too many things on your To Do List? With this process, you can help eliminate the overwhelm of all of those things.
To do the Placemat Process, take a sheet of paper and draw a line down the middle from top to bottom (or fold the sheet in half vertically if you like perfectly straight lines). At the top of the page on the left hand side, write, “Things I will do, want to do, or need to do today.” On the right side, write, “Things for the Universe to do.” Then list out all of the things for each side. Here’s an example list.
Things I will do, want to do, or need to do today:
- Send out my newsletter today
- Pick up or make a yummy dinner
- Relax with spouse
Things for the Universe to do.
- Bring me an ideal client that would benefit from my help
- Ensure that the dinner I pick up or make is delicious, nutritious, and everyone loves it
- Make it so my day is filled with ease & grace
Now you don’t have to put on the Universe’s list something specifically related to an item on your list. Just make sure you do let the Universe do its thing. Don’t be tempted to do something on its side of the sheet. You don’t want to be a micro manager now do you? 😜
Thank you for taking the time.

My pleasure!
