Grounding

Have you been in your head too much?
Do you feel scattered?
Do you feel like you’re feeling everyone’s energy?

If yes, then you may want to ground yourself!  Growing up, the phrase, “You’re grounded!” did not have a great meaning associated with it.  It usually meant that you were in trouble.  Well, now if you are in trouble with some of the things listed above, getting grounded will save the day!

Here is one way to ground yourself (and you don’t have to go to your room to do it…unless you want to)! 😉

  1. Close your eyes
  2. Take some deep belly breaths in and out (Here’s my previous article on how to do it: https://theellenlee.com/belly-breathe/)
  3. Imagine that roots (like tree roots) are growing out of the bottom of your feet and digging into the center or core of the Earth
  4. Picture the energy coming up from the center of the Earth, up your roots, through your body, out through the top of your head, all the way to the center of the Universe
  5. Feel the energy coming down from the Universe, through you, and into the Earth

You’ve just connected yourself to the Earth and also to the center of the Universe.  The energy flows both ways. 

See, being grounded isn’t so bad after all. 😉
